For those that don't know, the N1 is the homologation model. A total of 245 were produced. The RB26DETT used in the N1 has a number of changes over the standard RB26DETT. It was developed by Nissan's Rohki's REINIK division for NISMO and N1 race cars. REINIK started with strengthened block, the cylinder walls are thicker and water cooling channels are enhanced to increase flow. The N1 also employs a different water pump and oil pump to tackle the gruelling conditions of racing. The pistons have 1.2mm top rings and were fully balanced before assembly. The rods were stronger than standard RB26DETT rods and were also balanced. N1 turbochargers were added for increased response, higher torque and peak power. The turbine wheels are made from steel for durability over the lighter but weaker ceramic material found in the stock turbines.
We know this car is lightly tuned with Trust Intercooler Piping, 550cc injectors, Apexi Power-FC management as well as HKS Coilovers and Nismo Control Arms. We have fitted a new the following parts to bring this gem back to glory: N1 Water Pump (Nissan Part No: 21010-24U27), Koyo Aluminium Radiator, Tomei Timing Belt, Ogura Clutch, SFS Coolant Hoses, Bridgestone RE71-R Tyres, Kakimoto Regu06&R Muffler, New HKS Filter elements.
On top of this it has had a body and interior restoration and wants for absolutely nothing! We estimate this now to be a Grade 4.5 B equivalent.
